Nowanup

The Dandjoo Darbalung program, University of Western Australia commissioned a short film to highlight the importance of the 2021 NAIDOC theme ‘Heal Country, Heal Our Nation’. In partnership with Goreng Nyoongar Elder Eugene Eades, we merged two worlds together to illustrate the importance of the theme.

Through extensive research, interviews with Uncle Eugene, students and support workers, we developed and created the film which in turn instilled pride within the community.

Nowanup has received over 16,000 visitors and continues to be a place for ecological and cultural restoration where people from diverse backgrounds are welcomed to come together on Country.
